As CKY Homeschool Athletics is expanding its horizon, we are a program with a vision well beyond athletics, offering social and academic support to homeschool families across the Commonwealth. The vision for this direction includes the potential of such things as various activities through clubs and events, academic help through elective classes as well as tutoring options, and even guidance toward the various cooperative and group options in your geographic region.

Updated 501c3 Status
Religous Nonprofit Organization
After two years of hard work from our board members and other leadership, CKY Homeschool Athletics has finally been able to attain the status of a Religious Nonprofit Organization under the protection of the 501c3 guidelines. Praise God! To fall under this title, CKY has had to meet certain requirements:
- None of CKY earnings can go to a private shareholder.
- CKY cannot be an ‘action organization’; the organization cannot actively take part in political campaigning or influencing legislation.
- CKY cannot be operated for private interests; no one person can have a substantially greater influence over the organization. (1)
These requirements were all met with ease, and CKY can now partake in the following benefits:
- Exemption from Federal Income Tax.
- Can receive tax-deductible contributions from donors.
- Potential state exemption for income, sales, and employment tax.
- Reduced postal rates.
- Exemption from Federal Unemployment Tax.
- Tax-exempt financing. (2)
